Mientras el río pasa

As the River Flows is a tribute to the dedication and willpower of a young rural teacher and his pupils in the mountains of Baracoa. Through them, a part of Cuban society which is still economically and socially backward is depicted. For in their isolation, a humble school and its teacher are a great hope for the future.
