Sora no ana

Tae is travelling by road with her boyfriend, but he abandons her at a restaurant in the wilderness. She runs out without paying; however, realising that she has nowhere to go, she has no option but to go back and spend the night there. The restaurant is run by the young Ichio, who accepts to give her a place to stay if she works to pay off her debt for the food. Ichio has always lived with his father and mother, and sharing the same roof as a girl his age is a new experience for him. (San Sebastian International Film Festival)
