Men were the hunters and providers while women took care of the family hearth and children. For some, gender roles have been set since time immemorial. This assumption has been challenged by recent scientific research. At the end of the 19th century, a tomb containing skeletal remains and artefacts was found. The conclusion? Burial site of a famous male warrior. In 2017 it was proven that this skeleton was from a woman. Many scientists now ask themselves the question to what extent the bias and social hierarchy of the 19th and 20th century have influenced scientific conclusions. This documentary points out the need to reinterpret our own history and focus on the issue of when and why the division of gender roles was created. (Academia Film Olomouc)
