You probably should know the actors and be very familiar with the US for this show to make any sense to you. Coastal Elites opens American topics during the COVID-19 pandemic. Moreover it is not so much about the actors rather than about stereotypes in America. The most enjoyable, according to my opinion, was Sarah Paulson and not only because she was the only one I really knew among the actors. She analyzed the New York elites and Trump’s voters, who are mostly American red-necks, in detail. Generally speaking it didn’t look like a comedy to me, but the political situation between the Liberals and the Republicans is a comedy in itself.
