Paryż, lata 60-te. Opowieść o niezwykłej przyjaźni żydowskiego chłopca o imieniu Momo i starego muzułmanina. Momo jest w zasadzie sierotą, wychowywanym przez prostytutki. Wszystkie zakupy robi w małym, zagraconym sklepiku prowadzonym przez Ibrahima - cichego, egzotycznego muzułmanina, który wie i widzi o wiele więcej niż daje po sobie poznać. Gdy Momo zostaje opuszczony przez ojca, Ibrahim staje się jedynym dorosłym mężczyzną w jego życiu. Wspólnie wyruszają w podróż, która na zawsze odmieni ich życie. (SPI)

A sweet, funny and informative film about the friendship between an (in)experienced boy and a wise old man, dealing with religion, interpersonal relationships and the issues of growing up. Omar Sharif is a truly charismatic actor and his performance throughout the film overshadows the others. The story just moves along slowly and unobtrusively and comes to a satisfying end. In short, a very pleasant diversification of the afternoon in the form of this seemingly unremarkable French film.
