Ian Hislop's Fake News: A True History

In the documentary, the chief editor of British satirical magazine Private Eye, Ian Hislop, attempts to map fake news from the early 19th century, when the first tabloids were printed. He also tries to find the first made-up news. Hislop shows that there has always been the need for sensational news and profit—in the past as well as today.
