Mother and Robi live alone, the father has emigrated to Switzerland, he sends money on a monthly base. Robi is a pupil at a vocational school but wants to go to high-school, learns music, collects records, likes birds and cannot remember father any more. Strangely, a man, Tardos breaks into their life. Mother loves him, but it turns out soon: the man wants Robi. Mother sacks him, takes him back, then at the end she begs Robi frantically to fulfil his wishes, later she commits suicide. There remain the two of them in the flat, with the secret of the cause of her death. Robby is an impoverished, defenceless, lonely adolescent. He has to find out calmly, how to get rid of the man.
