Biografia
Krista Stadler was born in Vienna, Austria in 1942. After attending theater school, she made her stage debut in Vienna but soon left for Basel, Switzerland and Munich, Germany, where she played at the Deutsches Theater.
In 1972, Stadler was engaged at the infamous Max Reinhardt's Theater in der Josefstadt in Vienna, which became her artistic home.
Stadler began her screen career in 1962 under director Geza von Cziffra and has worked consistently since then in both Austria and Germany on over 60 television series and films, including Lena Rais (1979), Mobbing (2012) and Der Atem des Himmels (2010). In 1979, she won a German Film Award for her lead role in Christian Rischert's Lena Rais.
In 1991, Stadler appeared internationally in Marvin J. Chomsky's The Strauss Dynasty and in 2003, in Lodovico Gasparini's Soraya in which she played the Shah's mother.
