Carolina Astudillo Muñoz

Chilean filmmaker, journalist, researcher and teacher. She has developed her work in research, documentary creation and writing, focusing on women and historical memory. Her first feature film, El gran vuelo (2014), won, among others, the Silver Biznaga for Best Documentary at Malaga Festival and the Feroz Puerta Oscura Award for Best Documentary. For this work, the director was chosen Best Filmmaker by the Association of Women Filmmakers and Audiovisual Media (CIMA). Her second feature film, Ainhoa, yo no soy esa (2018), again won the Silver Biznaga for Best Documentary at Malaga, the Grand Jury Prize at Escales Documentaires and the Best Sound Award and Special Jury Mention at DocumentaMadrid.
