Biografia
JOSH PECK began his career as a child actor in the late 1990s and early 2000s. His talents range from acting, comedy, directing and voice over. He is best known for playing Josh Nichols in the Nickelodeon live-action sitcom “Drake & Josh.” Peck is also known for his outstanding performance in as the lead in “The Wackness,” a coming-of-age urban drama with Ben Kingsley, Mary Kate-Olsen, Olivia Thirlby and Method Man.
Peck stars in Screen Gems film “Planet B-Boy,” opposite Josh Holloway and Chris Brown, in which Peck portrays a member of a legendary breakdancing team seeking to reclaim its world title. Peck headed to Romania to star in the independent thriller “The Timber,” and before that he filmed the remake of the thriller “Red Dawn,” opposite Chris Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson, as well as “ATM,” opposite Brian Geraghty and Alice Eve.
At the age of 14, Peck was offered a role on Nickelodeon's “The Amanda Show” and, at his mother's suggestion, accepted the part and moved to Los Angeles to further pursue an acting career. He appeared on the show regularly.
Peck made his film debut in the 2000 film “Snow Day,” and followed that by starring opposite Alex D. Linz and Zena Grey in the film “Max Keeble’s Big Move.” Peck appeared in several independent films, including “Spun” and “Mean Creek,” the latter winning him critical praise. The independent film “Special” premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Peck was cast as Josh Nichols, opposite Drake Bell, as Drake Parker, in “Drake & Josh,” which began airing in 2004 and gained Peck recognition among young audiences once again. He went on to star in three “Drake & Josh” films, which led to a nomination for Favorite Television Actor at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award.
