Born in Brighton, England, Paul originally studied Geography and worked on glaciers in Pakistan, before deciding to become a filmmaker. His short films found success premiering at Film Festivals such as Berlin ("Die Berliner Mauer"), Sundance ("Estes Avenue"), South by Southwest ("Odd Shoe") & Palm Springs ("Last Hand Standing"), while his debut short, "Jeff Farnsworth" sold to HBO.
Paul supports Manchester City, likes the colour blue & occasionally directs theatre in Chicago. He has written plays for BBC Radio and directed award winning commercials, including "Stupid", an anti-smoking ad which is part of the permanent collection at MoMA in New York City.
