Biografia

Noah Baumbach (born 1969), the son of film critics, is one of the most notable torchbearers of middle-sized films. Baumbach rose to indie awareness with his debut Kicking and Screaming. However, he made his true breakthrough with the darkly humorous break-up drama The Squid and the Whale, which was nominated for an Oscar for the best screenplay. Over the years, Baumbach has worked both as a co-writer with Wes Anderson (The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Fantastic Mr. Fox) and with his more personal directing projects (Margot at the Wedding, Greenberg). Baumbach's character dramas and down-to-earth comedies have sealed his place as a top name in American cinema.
