Ashim Ahluwalia

Bombay, India, 1972. He studied cinema at Bard College. In 1999, he put together his own production company, Film Republic, with the idea of moving away from the established Bollywood industry. He has directed shorts and documentaries, like John & Jane (2005), premiering in Toronto and Berlin among other festivals. Miss Lovely is his first fiction feature length film.
