Biografia

Flavio González Mello works in cinema, television, theater and narrative. His 1996 film Domingo siete, which he wrote and directed, won the 1996 Ariel Award for Best Medium Length Fiction Film from the Mexican Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He has also written and directed the short films En vivo (2002), El número 23 (2002), and Medalla al empeño (2004). He wrote the screenplay of the feature film Pachito Rex (2001) as well as of a number of stage plays, among them, 1822, el año que fuimos imperio (2000) and Lascuráin, o la brevedad del poder (2005). He teaches screenwriting and film direction at the cuec-unam and ccc film schools.
