Sirin Eide studied film and media at Volda University College, and has worked in film and television, primarily as a director and producer, since the eighties. She has directed a number of commissioned films, music videos, documentaries, short films and television series', and, among other things, worked as a director for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation NRK from 1991 to 1995.
She made her feaure film debut in 1995 with the youth drama Goodbye 13!, which she also co-wrote the original screenplay for. She has directed several award-winning shorts, such as Gottcha! (2000) and Dive (2002).
In addition to her own filmmaking, Eide has also served as commissioning short film consultant for the Norwegian Film Fund.
