Biografia

Received his M.A. in psychology from UCLA, and a M.F.A. in Film Production from Art Center College of Design, Pasadena. He is a widely acclaimed writer and poet in Taiwan. Additionally, Eye Behind the Wall won 1991's and Shooting for Paradise won 2001's most outstanding Taiwanese screenplay. Between 1992 and 1995, he made short films and wrote the award-winning script for Hurricane Festival (Silver Award, Student Screenplay Competition, 1996 WorldFestHouston). In 1997 he made his directorial debut based on that screenplay. In addition Hurricane Festival was won three different awards (Silver Award for First Feature, Best Cinematography, Bronze Award) at five festivals in 1998. Hurricane Festival has also been invited to Taipei International Film Festival, 1999 and Singapore Film Festival, 2000. In 2006 he made his second feature entitled "Chocolate Rap" (2006), this film has been invited in Tokyo Int'l Film Festival, CinemAsia Film Festival Amsterdam, Taipei Film Festival, etc. He is an assistant professor of M.F.A. program at the National Taipei University of Arts Film Department. Ge was at the stage of post production for "Beautiful Crazy" and the pre productions for GIO subsidized film "All about the Bitch."
