Biografia

Daniel Vergara, director of photography and producer from Huesca. In 2015 he began his career working as director of photography and camera department technician in feature films, short films, documentaries, video clips and commercials. He is the producer and director of photography of the feature film Armugán (Jo Sol, 2020), premiered at the 24th edition of the Black Nights Film Festival in Tallinn and awarded for the best Soundtrack and the Ecumenical Jury Prize. In addition, he received the Jules Verne Award for best film at the 30th edition of the Nantes Spanish Film Festival. He has been awarded for best cinematography direction for the short films El color de la sed (Gala Gracia, 2017) at the 2018 Simón Awards, Los hombres de verdad no lloran (Lucas Castán, 2017) at the 22nd edition of the Fuentes Film Festival de Ebro and Vera (Laura Rubirola, 2020) at the 2020 Pávez Awards. Since 2014, he has collaborated with the Huesca International Film Festival as a jury in the short film preselection of the International competition.
