Belén Macías

After winning the Casa de América Award in the TVE programme Versión Española, she went on a film scripting course at the San Antonio de Los Baños Film School (Cuba). She debuted with My Prison Yard, for which she was nominated for a Goya for New Director. Her next feature films were Marsella and Verano en Rojo. For television, she has directed episodes of La Señora, La República, Fugitiva, Hospital Central, El Don de Alba, Un Lugar en el Mundo and Madres, Amor y Vida, as well as the TV-movies La Atlántida, El monstruo del Pozo and the mini-series La Princesa de Éboli.
