Miroslav Ondruš (b. 1980, Ostrava, Czechoslovakia) graduated from Písek Technical College in 2006 and then worked on films by leading Czech filmmakers: as a runner on the sets of Petr Zelenka’s The Karamazovs (Karamazovi, 2008) and Jan Hřebejk’s I’m All Good (U mě dobrý, 2008) and Shameless (Nestyda, 2008), then as an assistant director on Zdeněk Tyc’s El Paso (2009) and Radim Špaček’s Walking Too Fast (Pouta, 2010), which both won Best Film at the Czech Film Critics and Czech Lion awards. He also made the short gangster film Sorted! (Třídilové, 2011). Vendetta is his feature debut.
