Susanna Nicchiarelli

Italian director, screenwriter and actress, born in 1975. She graduated in philosophy from the Sapienza University of Rome and obtained her degree in directing at the National Film School in Rome. She has also studied directing and screenplay at UCLA. She has directed several short films. For her feature-length debut "Cosmonaut" (2009) she received the Controcampo Italiano Award at the Venice Film Festival. "Nico, 1988" (2017), her latest feature film, won the Orizzonti Prize at the Venice Film Festival.
