It doesn't have a script, but who needs one when every single frame pulses with a single purpose... for the viewer to make love to it. A cliché would look different because traditional stories on the theme of the birth of a star are no longer filmed today. Or nowadays nobody is even able to do it anymore, so the only things still being done are retro memories of the best years of the miracle and of its magic and charm. It's a pity that the legacy of classics like The Great Desire or The Stars Shine, and backstage subgenre in general, is only saved by female pop singers. There’s definitely no extra pressure on me, so I cuddle with every musical number. Wow, where did one of the four Lady Marmalades get to? ;) Of course, Cher's perfection was not and could not be doubted in the slightest. "Welcome to Burlesque!" / "You Haven't Seen the Last of Me"... Stanley Tucci and his fawn also turned into candy, and veteran of indulgence Alan Cumming, and of course Kristen Bell aged like fine wine. "I got a dentist... Dr. Longjohn!" The best is "But I am a Good a Girl " and the subtly distracted "Guy What Takes His Time" - where should I look first? "Show Me How You Burlesque!"

A total waste of time. The first film just used the idea that the original Scream trilogy offered in its own way (although it didn't work), the second film was retarded, while the third was a bit better (if they had based it even more on Signs it would actually resemble a movie) but also downright useless. This film is exactly the same. And yet again all they had to do was to try to parody The Village as the main aspect.

Surprisingly, this is a pretty decent thriller carried by just a few actors, but it would have been better had it come out in the mid-1990s. We get unexpected twists and turns, an aggressive psychopath, one crumbling marriage, and one seemingly harmless friend (the lovely Hudson Leick). It’s a film worth watching only once, but a long-time homework assignment for Hudson fans.

A more subtle prelude to Corpus Delicti from a theatrical setting with Suchařípa in the lead role. It’s good if considered amongst 1990 productions, but otherwise rather cumbersome. From a historical point of view, the shots in front of the Czech TV studios will delight.

This is a new level of retarded movies from the collection of such crazy shit as The Sweetest Thing or A Dirty Shame. No, this isn't irony, this is the plague. That’s too bad. I was hoping Tori, Tim, and Kathleen would have better taste than this.

In a way, this is quite a fascinating remake and homage to the original The Affairs of Julie. Fifty years ago, The Affairs of Julie was a Lilo Pulver film with prominent cameos by Anny Ondra and Max Schmeling. Today, it's a reminder of the old days when love in a film was reflected in the lives of filmmakers. The protagonist is a mature woman working on a mountain romance script and deciding between two men... Up to now it would have been cheap as hell, but the moment the quotations of the original film's footage and dialogue come into play, it's a lot of fun. The ending is a loving tribute to the phenomenon of Lilo Pulver, who played herself here.

It is true that the illusion that filming begins with a finished script really is an illusion, but watching this brief glimpse behind the scenes of a specific Czech film from 1936 is amazing. When it becomes quite common to know more than two-thirds of Czech history than just two-thirds of sound feature films, then we can discuss whether potential viewers could be interested in all stages of film production as such. Until then, let's feel free to count film shows in feet and believe that it's a more useful and sober way to go. It is bad enough that the NFA is sitting on its fund with virtually zero outputs.

Untouched by the Scary Movie franchise and anything else from the Date Movie / Disaster Movie collection, or Meet the Spartans s or Not Another Teen Movie, I was completely insulted. I can handle it better now, but that doesn't mean it is better.

After a very long hiatus, the regular fourth film has indeed arrived. It’s not a reboot, but a normal old-world sequel. And while no one would have expected it, the film works well as a standalone horror film and as a new installment in a long-running franchise. The film series Stab got its seventh sequel, and the times have changed, but the main thing has remained the same. The main trio works well together. Sidney has written a new book, Out of the Darkness, and it serves as the perfect reason to come home. The younger generation can't do without their phones anymore, everyone is online 24/7, and the dynamics of killing are changing. Excellent supporting roles are played by Shenae Grimes, Anna Paquin, and Kristen Bell. Of the newcomers, Hayden Panettiere and Emma Roberts are very good. And it looks like there will be a regular fifth film after the series. Maybe in 2022.

The classic Pavlásková panoptic wilderness. Moreover, after twenty years on TV, Bohdalová finally had the opportunity to explode and I, as a Viki with a penchant for the lumpenproletariat, absolutely love her. I absolutely love her. The rest of the actors play an absolutely irresistible concert together. With the Roden / Asterová performances I wriggle with laughter, with Kořínková I suffer ironically and with Dočolomanský's we are connected at least by our taste for the feminine. ;) Corpus delicti has no dead spots, and they are like an avalanche when you need to appeal, they know how to argue, and as a formal point there are also clever games with a split screen. "Love them, grope them, but don't promise them love." "That's life."
