So I was thinking that this movie wants to convey something serious, but somehow it just doesn't succeed with that depressive Burton-esque poetics. There are visually interesting ideas here, but unfortunately, that's all this little film offers. It's almost a pity because it definitely had potential.

Interesting, almost inventive, both in animation and in introducing the story. But then suddenly it's over and you realize that actually nothing happened, that the potential was not utilized in any way and that you were just watching how a fairly interesting puppet looks at something that suddenly appeared there. That's not very impressive.

Romantic drama about how difficult it is to find someone you can get along with, but especially someone you wouldn't want just because of their looks or for sex. A film that typically gets entangled in genre clichés, but wants to be dramatic and show that it can be interesting, that it could be a drama, but unfortunately it is not like that and it's just superficial, once again showcasing Olivia Wilde only as a pretty face.

It's probably a good movie that definitely has something to say, but on the other hand, I can't help but think that it could be filmed even more dramatically, even more brutally than it sounds, and I think it would only benefit the movie. But even in this rendition, it definitely can be appreciated, it just speaks more to lovers of older films, for others it will simply be an old movie.

But yeah, those guys are assholes, but they really caught my attention in the first movie and it's the same here. I should probably also watch the series sometime because, according to the reviews at least, it could really be worth it. This is disgusting in some places, really funny in others, sometimes pointless, and on top of that, there's Australia. And of course, those girls with whom it's never easy.

In books, there is beauty, which we probably already know. This film presents it to us in a somewhat interesting way. On one hand, it's quite standard because it's based on "The Wizard of Oz," but on the other hand, it's unconventional because it is connected to a hurricane that really devastated New Orleans. The connection with this 3D animation is definitely strong and interesting.

A film with excellent performances that unfortunately left me rather cold. What Joaquin Phoenix especially demonstrates is truly amazing, but overall, it just didn't resonate with me. The arrival of the magician excited me, as I always have a weakness for them, but then suddenly nothing. Simply just another historical drama.

I am certain that the movie "A Haunted House 2", which we apparently won't see in Czech cinemas, is not a great comedy, but it simply clicked with me. There are moments that could easily stand in a serious horror film, but most importantly, there are jokes that are not just stupid. Yes, the banal ones prevail, but this time I had a feeling that someone actually tried and wanted the entertainment to not be completely senseless. And they succeeded.

But yeah, quite an interesting story about how sometimes we search for something we have long found, we just don't know it. We can't see it with our eyes. The rabbit is an interesting catalyst of events here, but unfortunately, they are cut off quite early. Yes, we can speculate on how it continues, but I almost feel like the characters deserve a bit more. However, some scenes will still leave an impression on you.

Gary Cooper is the great protagonist of this film. Without him, it would never be what it is. His gaze, his speech, the way he plays so simply and naturally are the highlights of the film about how one person's life can change, but how the person themselves may not change as much. It's a nice story about a man who didn't want to be great, but ended up becoming one, at least a little bit. However, I guess I was still expecting a slightly stronger experience.
