The film Dream Home introduces us to the Hong Kong school of special effects, which makes itself known in a really great way. Here, the killing hurts, and this is where you see it all and you think, “Jesus, how could they have shot it so well, the camera simply won't budge?" And it works. There's also a certain social-critical overlap that's not as strong, but it has its place here too. Most of all, though, you'll remember the massacre.

For a historical film, it's good, and it's gritty. The gritty stuff is the main focus, so the actual story that plays out doesn't even seem to be very important. It does build up very well towards the end, although I almost found some scenes to be illogical. Still, I couldn't shake off a certain pleasant impression, perhaps in the hints of similarity to the film Apocalypto.

This is a romantic movie during which I thought that it didn't really matter if it was about tulips or not, because anything else would have worked just fine. The story of the lovers isn't bad, it doesn't have a bad development, but the unnecessary promotion of humor didn't sit well with me. In the end it's also strangely positive, which I didn't expect.

This season lost a little bit of focus with the last scenes, and it was a bit too human. I felt that it didn't suit the main character that well, but again I have to admit that I enjoyed the story and the investigation and I was curious to see how it would turn out and who the killer was. The revelation isn't bad at all. I am therefore satisfied.

Harold and Lillian Michelson were unknown to me in terms of film. But that's simply because in Hollywood, we only see the stars and those other professions remain somewhat hidden to us. However, their story is beautiful, moving, and simply human. And yes, they both helped shape those truly great American films.

This is so stupid in places that I ended up having fun and laughing. There are scenes that are really crazy and I really like that Adam DeVine isn't afraid to get involved in that, and even though he's annoying, he goes all out in the role. This is just part of who he is. Even though I always have to get used to him again, he's the right kind of wacky. Yeah, I laughed, and therefore it’s good.

Quite interesting performances by the actors, but they are undermined by the fact that the script ultimately does not offer anything significantly interesting. Whoopi Goldberg seems almost like an unnecessary character to me, at least given how they push her forward. In the end, it is not crucial for the story, and the protagonist does not become significantly more human because of it.

I can't help it, I expect it to be better, to be more emotional, and that didn't happen. It works as a romance, but the closer it gets to the end, the blander it gets. Yes, fate hasn't been kind to her, but this isn't a story that can take the viewer by surprise. The first half is definitely better.

It’s not a great human story, just one girl's return to a home she never really wanted to go back to, but it is also where she has her roots and needs to be. This film probably won't leave much of an impression on you, but when you watch it, you might even take away something about the fact that life is sometimes good, sometimes shitty. This is spectacle is exactly what was expected of it.

I can't help it, but this movie has such a stupid explanation at the end that I regretted watching the whole thing. It tries a bit to make itself interesting, to have an original twist, but in my opinion it simply doesn't work and kills an otherwise relatively average thriller.
