Marvel: Daredevil - Please (2018) (odcinek)

angielski Everything about Matt is lame, contrived, unnecessarily religiously themed and wordy. Everything about Fisk, his greatest enemy, is unpredictable and makes sense. So far two strongly uneven endings and a third season that is leaving a dull impression.

Marvel: Daredevil - Resurrection (2018) (odcinek)

angielski Lukewarm, thoughtful, controversial. Sort of Daredevil Rises, only without any epicness, and a proper budget with a hero who, at least this time, doesn't have nearly as much charisma. I can’t wait for Fisk to get out of prison and start doing his thing.

Marvel: The Punisher - Season 1 (2017) (seria)

angielski Today, an already legendary series featuring the best (anti)hero Marvel has in it’s repertoire. Bernthal was born for the role. He handles the action fantastically and doesn't miss a beat even in the more subtle scenes that require emotion. The ending is great, but there’s not a single weak episode.

Marvel: Daredevil - Season 2 (2016) (seria)

angielski Bolder, bigger and finally with the proper Daredevil costume. A typical second season of a successful first. Fortunately, it worked out thanks to the fantastic Punisher and the interesting Elektra, whose storylines are far more engaging than the Yakuza and their dark powers.

Marvel: Daredevil - Chłodny dzień (2016) (odcinek)

angielski The finale this time is disappointing. It's still the same, sometimes quite overdone action, a strange and uninspiring finale with Nobu and the Yakuza. A lot of the information outline in the course of the season is left unexplained, and it’s also missing closure and emotion.

Marvel: Daredevil - Ciemność na końcu tunelu (2016) (odcinek)

angielski Little Elektra is choreographically better than big Elektra, which is truly impressive. The whole story around the mystical The Hand is sort of outside the contours of the realistic world of Daredevil, so it's best to take it with a grain of salt. Clancy Brown never disappoints though, and again the situation surrounding the Punisher is much more interesting.

Ava (2020)

angielski The only scenes where Jessica Chastain is not replaced by a stunt double are the ones where she has cleavage up to her waist and a slit too. Thanks God at least for that. The rest is tragic, absolutely devoid of substance and script. Malkovich is the only one who kind of sticks out as an actor. Charlize was an agent of a different calibre.

Marvel: Daredevil - .380 (2016) (odcinek)

angielski The restaurant scene, and Frank Castle, is what makes this episode one of the best again.

Marvel: Daredevil - Człowiek w pudle (2016) (odcinek)

angielski Matt vs. Fisk is again one of the more interesting moments of dialogue in the entire series, and it can’t be denied the creators have a talent for the interaction of the main characters and the associated impressive tension and simultaneous excitement that they provide. Probably the top moment in this episode, complementing the attack on Reyes.

Tenet (2020)

angielski This is already too much of an exhibition from Nolan. A 150-minute roller coaster that spouts the same narrative scheme of his great films like Inception or The Dark Knight Rises. That is, for two hours he opens the scissors and in the third hour everything gradually closes wide, with thunderous music. That worked with the caped crusader and with the suited up Leo, but Tenet is already too much. It’s cold, complex and totally unreadable. It’s a bit like a Bond film that it’s not even worth trying to understand (especially during the screening). A story without colour, emotion or interesting characters. Only Washington breaks a sweat, and anyone can tell that he is Denzel's son after a few minutes of seeing him walk and talk. The action is cleverly shot, but the imaginary highlight is the classic hands-on plot in the kitchen anyway. With Goransson and Hoytem, everything is fine. Goransson copies Zimmer a bit in those chunky roundhouse synthesizers, but he achieves the desired effect. The last half hour can be slept through with a clear conscience, if anyone manages to do so despite all the explosions and dramatic music.
