Azurose

A pleasant relaxing series that draw the viewer in. There are significant holes and illogical twists in the script, but since everyone takes this series with a grain of salt, it's bearable. Great music by Mamma Ru herself and the acting by the drag queens wasn't bad, although they all act like that in real life. Anyway, I have to admit that this series is iconic and I look forward to the next seasons.

A film about a boy who tries to become famous through social networks. His manager gets him to other young influencers' concerts and he still doesn't become famous. I was tired of watching 99 minutes of a kid who only cares about fame. Still, the film is well made.

A very interesting film that makes the viewer think. We learn what negative effects the rapidly evolving world of codes, robots and algorithms can have. The film is really well made and leaves the viewer with a lot of questions.

I had high expectations, but they were not met. K-Town tries to be a comedy, but it's not funny, just like it wants to be an action crime film, but unfortunately it doesn't meet that either. The characters have illogical behaviors and are very naive. In fact, the whole fictional world doesn't make much sense and I'm not a fan. So this is a below average film that occasionally makes the corners twitch, but that's about it. The acting is very poor - the best was Tim Ahern, who ironically is the only foreign actor in the film. But the Norwegian audience, based on the comments after the screening, obviously liked the film. [TNIFFH 2023]

The Hunt is an interesting but not original film. It will be a hit with Hunger Games fans. At the beginning of the film, twelve people are kidnapped and wake up in an unknown location. The hunt begins. The first half of the film is highly dramatic and it is not clear to the viewer who the main character is and who the actual killers are. The second half of the film is weaker. Here the filmmakers have abandoned the dark atmosphere of the forest and moved into enclosed spaces. The story is not complicated and does not contain any major twists. There are rather unfamiliar faces in the film, but they play their roles very well. As far as the action scenes are concerned, they are professionally handled and one can see that a lot of work has been done on them. An average film that is perfect to watch when bored.

An unsympathetic movie about an unsympathetic girl with ADHD. Joanna is introduced to us as the daughter of a depressed father who sits in front of the TV all day and doesn't have enough money for her development and important medication. Instead of trying to get a part-time job or helping her father get better, she starts hanging out with a new classmate and planning a theft. I don't understand why she started hanging out with her when she had no motivation to spend time with her. An illogical course of action, made even more illogical by her shaking, which resembled withdrawal symptoms rather than ADHD symptoms. The idea of the film was fine, the execution not so good. The last part of Elling's trilogy is on the whole a disappointment. Although all the episodes beautifully portray friendship, in the last episode this friendship is throttled by the illogical and stupid behaviour of the characters (against their normal). The plot doesn't develop much, the cinematography is distracting and in the overall picture the film looks like a piece of crap created just for the sake of the audience, which it certainly was. For the curious, I recommend the first episode, it's simply a heartbreaker.

Imagine writing a story for a 30-minute film and then turning it into a feature film. That's exactly the case with this film. The subject matter is poignant, at times brutal, at times emotional. The static camera imaginatively puts you in the action of the film, which works great, but is tremendously boring. If I were to remove or cut unnecessary scenes from the film that do nothing to move the plot forward, the film would be 1/3 of the way through. Anyway, this is a fairly hilarious realistic film that shows the war again from a different perspective.

Cop Secret is a film of all genres. However... It's not funny enough for a comedy, not dramatic enough for a drama, and not romantic enough for a romance. The film crosses genres like a treadmill, and I think that's the problem. The film doesn't really know what it's supposed to be, and it's turned into a sort of mishmash of cops and robbers. Still, it's absolutely great to watch, as it really holds the viewer's attention and you can't even predict the story until at least 1/3 of the way through. But from the middle of the film it goes downhill... The biggest disappointments are the repetitive jokes that quickly lose their wit, the bad ARD, the oddly placed love line and the bad VFX. Despite all this, though, this is a generally hilarious low-budget debut from a former footballer who has embarked on a career as a film director.

An enjoyable film about two women trying to fulfill a dream that society doesn't look kindly on. The film gets off to a slow start, but after the first third things move very quickly and then the pace slows down again. Cinematically, the film is very weak. Still, it excites and awakens emotions. Above all, the most interesting thing is the insight into the conservative Eastern society and the life of two women who break the myths of this very society.
