Casey Fucking Rayback in a very decent sequel to Under Siege. There are some great lines in the film, Seagal is in top form, but the main villain is a terrible idiot and the script is at times awkward as hell. Poledouris' music and the work of the special effects team should be praised (the final train scene is very realistic and I dare say that nobody could have done it better today, in the age of digi effects).

Oh well, everyone has their weak moments - I've seen a few episodes of this series in mine. And surprisingly, I didn't find it as unbelievably stupid and stupidly garbage as most people. I even laughed a few times, which is supposedly one of the goals of comedy series. And the songs aren't ones that make you vomit either... I simply don't get hives from this creation, although it is of course no gem. I'm too old, but if I were younger, I might add a few stars. Go ahead, stone me for it!

Better than Green Gold and slightly weaker than A Night at Karlstein. A film with Czech singing and acting elite, which I appreciate especially for its anti-war message (typical for Suchý and Šlitr), its ageless songs and the whole nice mood I immediately feel during it. So what if there's almost no script?

My favourite Shakespeare play, I looked forward to seeing it adapted to film as a child. And they did a good job! Shylock, played by Al Pacino, is a treat. I don't understand how anyone wouldn’t root for him. A perfect adaptation in every sense. Beautiful cinematography and music.

Don't expect "Belmondo's Gran Torino", get ready for a very different kind of film. It's sad, slow and quiet. Just like Charles' age. It's also a film full of sad eyes - canine and human. I give it four stars, all of which are Belmondo's doing. The guy doesn't even have to act, he just has to be on the screen, exist in front of the camera, and that's it.

One of the better Stephen King adaptations and a slightly above average sci-fi horror murder mystery. Compared to the novel, the ending has been changed (primarily) and I dare say that a person who hasn’t read the book may not understand at first the scenes taking place inside the head... But there are well chosen actors, great cinematography and music, and quite a decent atmosphere. Three and a half.

Quite impressive. Quaid does a decent job and the cinematography is gorgeous. I was delighted to see Peter Stormare, who is there, albeit fleetingly. Horsemen could have had a better script with a more surprising twist at the end, but it doesn't offend. Very good three stars, almost four.

Four stars, but a weaker four stars. If it weren't for Hoffman and Rickman, I'd give it a three, especially for the cinematography, which gives you a really unreal feeling of being "right there". I haven't read the book, so I don't know why, but I was bothered by the ending, which was so very bland. Moreover, films in which the viewer is supposed to root for the real asshole (whatever his motives for doing what he does) are always harder for me.

To write a "proper B-movie/Cameron can do it" review for this film would be hideous bias. Rubbish, rubbish, rubbish. Proper rubbish.

A good family comedy, equal to the better classic films of Bud Spencer and Terence Hill, although not quite up to their best.
