Average Soviet agitprop that struggles to lead the attention in an understandable way across so many lines and characters – I was very confused with who is who. The editing is pretty funny at times, and there’s no point mentioning that the almost three-hour runtime is like a stab in the back for the viewer, but in the second half the events start coming together and you will no longer be indifferent to the fate of Colonel Mlynsky and his men. The final shootout in a cabin is very nice and so are the competent actors. 60% (06.04.2019)
