Kiedy rodzina Primmów przeprowadza się do Nowego Jorku, ich  syn, Josh z trudem przystosowuje się do nowej szkoły i nowych przyjaciół. Wszystko to zmienia się, kiedy chłopiec poznaje Lyle'a - śpiewającego krokodyla (Shawn Mendes), który uwielbia kąpiele, kawior i  muzykę i mieszka na strychu ich domu. Dwójka szybko się zaprzyjaźnia, ale kiedy na  Lyle'a czycha  zły sąsiad, pan Grumps (Brett Gelman), Primmowie muszą połączyć siły z  właścicielem Lyle'a, Hectorem P. Valenti (Javier Bardem), aby pokazać światu, że nie ma nic złego w wielkim śpiewającym krokodylu o wspaniałej osobowości. (UIP)
