angielski The first season of The World's Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in a Different World as an Aristocrat is slightly different from what I had originally expected. I had assumed it would have been more about eliminating various shady disreputable entities and dangerous aristocrats. I thought the society in this show would be much rougher and riddled with all sorts of garbage that needed to be effectively disposed of. After all, the opening scenes would suggest that, and I was expecting something like Lugh ga Kill. In the end, however, it was all rather just a rather well-made build-up to the follow-up, which might still have the clean-up of society as one of the main themes. The subject matter is interesting; the whole goddess and killing the Hero thing could also be developed more in the future and surprise audiences. However, for now, it is just the beginning, with some tentative suggestions but nothing more. There is simply a respectably written introduction with attention to details about training and building a back-up plan if something goes wrong. Plus, there is the occasional demonstration of the abilities of the main male protagonist. Of course, the last episode and Lugh's ultimate weapon were, on the one hand, terrible crap; nevertheless, it was pretty entertaining and pretty cool terrible crap, and I really enjoyed it. It does have its bad points, though. I did not really enjoy this show's concept of magic, which reminded me of Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest, although they at least try to explain how magic works and that it needs to be learned. Well, and with the conclusion and what it was about, for some reason, I felt like I was watching Seirei Gensouki again, even though this show was a bit more interesting. Being reminded of those two anime series in particular while watching this show was not a good thing for me. Back to the good stuff - the main male protagonist was fine, I like pragmatic people, and it made sense to me why he creates a proper harem around him. I found him quite believable, and it was good they were showing that girls had some talents and abilities important for the show. It was good that the girls were shown to be useful characters, even though I was not really interested in them much, with one exception. As for the final rating, I was torn between a strong three stars or a weak four stars and spent a good hour comparing it to everything else that came out this year and some productions that got similar ratings from me. In the end, it comes out more like the better three stars, with the understanding that it has potential. I am going to watch the eventual follow-up, and perhaps it will convince me I am wrong. 6.4/10. ()
