A Komsomol member Tania Tyotkina is a nurse on the train carrying the wounded away from the fronts of the civil war. The young shy girl is devoted to her work. She is far from understanding everything that is going on around her, there are many things that she can feel only vaguely, but she tries to express it in her drawings and in her attitude to the people whom she encounters and loses in theses hard days.
