A kard

This film, based on Jékely's poem, focuses on the sword that killed Zrínyi Péter and Frangepán Ferenc. Bojti, deputy manager of the Inland Drainage Company spends his vacation in Vienna. When bidding for the sword he offers his Volkswagen. He returns home with the infamous weapon, a national hero in his spirit. But the museum only has money for the Mohács relics. Bojti is taken for a swindler and a psychopath. They relieve him from his position and fire his wife, too. But when he throws the sword, the cause of all this trouble, to the Dead Tisza, the sword is fished up and a museum is founded just to exhibit it.
