Opisy(1)

In 1947-48 a group of the NÉKOSZ youth conquers a church secondary school and provokes discussion with the students there on the validity of Marxism. They improvise dances and choirs on the yard, when a police officer wants to arrest a few Catholic students. Laci, who stands for the clever, democratic persuasion, renounces. Power will be taken by two sectarian girls: Teri and Jutka. They force the priests to take off their clothes, they throw books out, break windows. When the leadership of the movement arrives, they denounce the extremist conduct and excommunicate the two girls. (oficjalny tekst dystrybutora)

angielski A proud of young revolutionarily inclined union members flows like a determined river with the sound of revolutionary songs, smoothly weaving its way through paths, breaking through all doors and gates that cannot in the least stop its determination, and this fluidity is also transferred to the film camera. The clash between young communists and the students of a religious school becomes an allegory for the course of the revolution itself, with its twists and turns, steep ascents and falls, where the initial sincerity of the idea and unity of means and goals is replaced by the radical imposition of one's own will, where everything ends with the arrival and rule of "strategically" thinking technocrats, bureaucrats, or mere power practitioners. All of this compressed into one day and within the miniature scale of one group of perpetually singing union members. ()
