Brusten himmel

The setting is desolate northern Sweden; A depressed, working-class district. The Big War is raging beyond Sweden's borders. Erika is 13. She senses there is something else out there somewhere--something she wants to experience. She is afraid of it, but she is even more afraid to stay at home and become like her mother, who just accepts everything, or her father, who protests against everything. She therefore leaves.
