Alpinist Jimmy Chin is filming in the mountains of the Grand Tetons, Wyoming when a colossal avalanche wipes him out and drags him down a 2,000-foot slope, snapping trees and leaving debris all over the landscape. Knowing that much smaller avalanches have killed experienced athletes before, Jimmy's friends know it's almost impossible that he survived this accident. (National Geographic)
