Niedaleka przyszłość. Osiągnięcia inżynierii genetycznej pozwalają na manipulowanie DNA i klonowanie żywych organizmów. Na mocy tzw. prawa "szóstego dnia" przeprowadzanie tego eksperymentu na ludziach jest wciąż zabronione. Pilot Adam Gibson w dniu urodzin wraca do domu i odkrywa, że jego miejsce zajął człowiek wyglądający identycznie - jego klon. Oderwany od rodziny i rzucony w obcy świat bohater musi dowiedzieć się, kto stoi za strasznymi wydarzeniami, które rozegrały się w jego życiu. Trop prowadzi go do biotechnologicznej korporacji. An interesting premise, but a weak script that gradually devolves into a parody of itself. Of course, some of the futuristic visions are fine and quite believable, but there’s nothing else that makes this film compelling. There is no suspense, the action is lukewarm and the cliché at the end is quite tiresome. The most entertaining part of the whole film then is Arnold's attempt at acting. But even when he does break, his smile will always look like he just stepped on a thumbtack with his bare foot.

Either a good actor and a good sci-fi whodunit, or Arnold and lots of action. The two just don't go together. That's why this film looks the way it does.
