This film is a documentarist and mythical collage of Gypsy life. Gera, a successful Gypsy painter burns his paintings, fed up with being an "ornamental Gypsy" and returns to his outcast fellows to reform their lives. His intentions are not understood, so he helplessly rebels. When the colony is preparing for the funeral feast of a little girl, who committed suicide, he pulls the tables in the fire because of the inquirers who came to search for folk elements in the ceremony. But the Gypsies feel that this rebellion against the show humiliates them and they take terrible revenge on Gera and his "white mate". (oficjalny tekst dystrybutora)
