Ballen i øyet

Denisse is desperately short sighted. But she plays soccer. A ball hits her right in the eye. Her glasses break and everything goes black. In hospital she wakes up with a different view of the world. With an eye bandaged, she sees nothing but twins, pairs, couples and doubles. Is she the only single? She realizes that time has come to give up soccer and become an adult. But how? This burlesque story takes place in the very near future in a world both recognisable and disturbingly different. And life hasn't got any easier, least of all Denise's. She is torn between possibilities, pursued by her selfish elder twins - and their twin lovers - and seeks her match, Erik, whom she caught a glimpse of one day in the crowd. Meanwhile she copies everyone she meets, listens to anybody and is none the wiser. And she gets a job as an airport cleaner - the closest she gets to making a departure.
