Podrzędny hotel trafia nagle na pierwsze strony gazet. FBI rozpoczyna śledztwo. Los Angeles kryje za sobą wiele tajemnic. Ta historia jest kolejną z nich. Widziana oczami młodego mężczyzny o niewinnym dziecięcym umyśle, nieświadomym realnego świata i otwartym na wszystko. Świat spokojnej egzystencji życiowych rozbitków staje się miejscem zbrodni. Psychedelic nonsense. Boring, unintentionally ridiculous in places. And I still think U2 is the best rock-pop band of all time.

The three pretentious stars are rather a satisfied evaluation. Wenders creates an atmosphere through captivating monologues and great camera work, while Gibson and Davies give their characters an incredible liveliness. However, the total disappointment for the viewer is the screenplay. Instead of a psychologically tuned game or at least a genre-unidentified combination, it simply jumps from place to place and indulges in peculiar characters. And I consider it a great sin that the much-promoted U2 accompaniment is not used to its full potential, as it only faintly murmurs in the background, except for the opening and closing credits.
