Les Gens d'à côté

Lucie is a police forensics specialist. Since her partner died, she has led a solitary life. One day, a young couple moves into the house next door with their little daughter. As Lucie gets to know the three better and starts to grow fond of them, she discovers that the father, Yann, is an anti-police activist with a long criminal record. Lucie finds herself caught in a moral dilemma between her professional ethics and her desire to support this family. Her certainties begin to falter. (Berlinale)
