Mrs. Bogdán wants to get a divorce on account of her husband having made an unambiguous gesture to kiss miss Pál Éva, their nice-looking employee. Dr. Halmi Tibor, the husband's solicitor prevents the divorce by putting the blame on Éva. When the proceedings are over, he apologises to the woman and asks her out. Éva, disguised as a homely spinster, takes on a job working for Halmi as his secretary, while dating the solicitor at the same time. They have a good time together and soon fall in love with each other. The man tries to escape to Abbazia in an effort to get away from his own emotions, taking Kató with him so that she can help him keep the business going while away from home. Much to his surprise, he chances upon Éva, who is also in Abbazia. Finally, he realizes that Éva and Kató is one and the same person, and, having revealed the secret, he marries her.
