Lonely and desperate Sarah walks along a deserted beach to discover an unconscious man who has been brought to land by the waves. When he awakens he does not remember his name or his past. This is exactly the type of movie where you'll have the feeling the whole time that something is about to go terribly wrong. James Spader is excellent in his role as the man who remembers nothing, but Anne Brochet is even better at how she torments him without his knowledge. A bit like Misery, but much gentler. And equally deadly. It's a shame that the screenplay is a bit rough and reveals too much about Sarah's character.
