angielski Bruce Willis is a dirty, smelly guy, whose problems are catching up with him by leaps and bounds and that’s why he drinks. Actually, the character is an absolutely classic one from the nineties. Striking Distance is not the best and most memorable movie like for example Die Hard or The Last Boy Scout. That was hindered by the bothering stupid lovers’ storyline and the occasional dullness, but then again Bruce played a world-weary guy and I liked that. I haven’t seen a character written like that in a really long time. I don’t think you’re likely to see that kind of character anymore. That made me appreciate it even more. This kind of characters always pleased me the most. And the action was decent and sincere. That’s not fashionable nowadays either. Anyway, because this movie has the rating it has on this site, I’m going to give it one more star than I normally would, because it definitely deserves a higher rating. ()

angielski An average movie with Bruce playing his standard, with boats and a young Sarah Jessica Parker. A couple of nicely fraught situations and solid action scenes haul Striking Distance out of gray mediocrity. And Bob the Cat does much to save it too. I want a cat like that too :). ()

angielski Not a groundbreaking film, I'd even say one of the most boring I've seen Bruce Willis in. And yet it starts with such a great car chase. But the rest is an unprecedented mess, the clash in the hut is incredibly awkward, and the whole of the finale is written, filmed and acted just out of duty to the audience, who have been waiting for dozens of minutes for a more lively scene.
