Berlin 1942. Friedrich is a 16 year old who dreams of doing something with his life. Before the Fall is predictable, with the production values of a made-for-TV movie. It’s more impressive in its chilling moments than in its naïvely sentimental passages. However, the existence of such films is appreciated.
