Josh jest przekonany, że jego dziewczyna, Tiffany, rzuciła go. Zrozpaczony szuka pocieszenia w ramionach koleżanki. Ich miłosne uniesienia zostały zarejestrowane na taśmie wideo, na tej samej, na której wcześniej Josh nagrał list do ukochanej. Taśma została wysłana do Tiffany. Wkrótce Josh dowiaduje się, że jego sympatia wcale go nie rzuciła. Odkrywszy pomyłkę, chłopak decyduje się na szaleńczą, liczącą 1800 mil jazdę przez Stany Zjednoczone. Musi bowiem uratować związek. Road Trip struck me as the first watchable teen comedy. It’s as if DreamWorks wanted to avoid stupidity, vulgarity and general shittiness and instead wanted to make a morally benign variation on teen movies that would be suitable even for the youngest viewers. But I’m not praising this flick for its moral qualities. Road Trip surprised me with its fresh subject and its non-violent and civil (albeit silly) humor, as well as its great cast.

One of the many generic teen comedies that rode the wave of success of American Pie, but unlike the others, it's also quite funny. Quite.

When I first saw the film, I was much younger than today, hence my original rating. This time I was bored for the most part, at times I even felt second-hand embarrassment for the creators. Since I expect a comedy to be entertaining and funny, a “Boo!” would be appropriate, but one star for Amy Smart.

This comedy never really grew close to my heart, but it's not that big of a stupidity. It's obvious that it is trying hard to ride on the success of "Prciček", but at least it doesn't unnecessarily force the theme of "loss of virginity". The story makes sense, but the actual road trip itself isn't that important, there's a minimum of it here. Occasionally, there's a good joke or an interesting character.
