I caught up with this older piece and it wasn't bad. It’s a bit of a wacky idea with a wonderful Bruce Willis, at a time when he could still act and was one of the top. I was surprised by the presence of beautiful women and the prettiest one even shows up naked, for which I'll even throw in that extra star. 70%. ()
Man, that Amanda Peet is foxy... but back to the movie, it’s a fairly original idea to tell a story about a neighbour who’s a serial killer. It’s also nicely thought-through and the actors enjoy their roles. Perry of course is standard Chandler, but Bruce really savors it. Natasha Henstridge is nice to look at and I’ve already talked about Amanda. A pleasant surprise. ()
A somewhat wacky concoction full of criminal references, crazy jokes and unusual characters who in the real world would be immediately labelled "idiots" or more subtly "mentally in prehistory". It's not boring, but the story is divided only into hilarious and awkward scenes, the continuity of which nobody cared too much about. Willis and Perry do their thing, and that should be enough for the viewer... 55% ()
When I first saw this comedy, I was definitely more enthusiastic, but that doesn't change the fact that I still enjoyed it this time around. There are scenes here that are simply great, and I remember them the whole time, but there are also parts that fall flat. The plot is somewhat dry, but the comedy with the fairly gritty mafia shootout still works. ()
