A gang of bad girls breaks out of prison with the help of an undercover cop, then heads for the gnarly swamps of Louisiana to try to recover a stash of stolen diamonds, kidnapping a helpless geologist along the way. This racy cult favorite, from the beginning of director Roger Corman's career, took just 22 days to complete. It features B-movie queens Marie Windsor and Beverly Garland, along with actor Mike Connors. Also keep an eye out for Jonathan Haze (Little Shop Of Horrors), Susan Cummings and Ed Nelson. When you combine a swamp environment, crocodiles, an escape from prison, a police infiltration of a girl gang, buried loot, girl fights and a romantic storyline, don’t expect to come up with a masterpiece. Moreover, the acting and – especially – the script are terrible. Unfortunately, it’s not funnily silly, it’s more akin to Laurel and Hardy working on a house – a painful and embarrassing mess.
