angielski I had a beautiful seven years when I got to the cinema to see the animated version of Sleeping Beauty, and I remember very well how I immersed myself in the magical world for the whole time. I went to the bottom. It was one of those important cinema visits that forever attached the movie projector to my heart. And to this day, I can see myself sitting in front of the screen, holding my breath during the prince's fight with the dragon, and my mother sitting next to me, saying, "You will end up in movies after all." She was right. ()

angielski A classic Disney movie about an enchanted princess, filmed using the usual template. As always, a perfectly filmed romantic storyline, funny jokes delivered by three witches and cute animals (the owl roolz). I remember liking it when I saw it at the movie theatre as a little boy and even now I like to watch it again occasionally. An immortal classic. ()

angielski The 16th Disney Feature Film I like to believe that in its original format, it must be a feast for the eyes, but if even the relatively un-inventive Cinderella II: Dreams Come True felt more charming to me, then this film just doesn’t have it. I attribute this to the overemphasis on 14th-century inspiration and the trio of deities. It’s not to be confused with Snow White, but in the first Cinderella the resemblance between the monarch and his crony is a big problem. Moreover, I can accept Cinderella even in the foreign version, I fundamentally perceive Sleeping Beauty as a completely different story. ()

angielski I saw Sleeping Beauty as a child in the movie theatre and remembered it mainly for Maleficent and her mansion, the dragon, the raven turned into a stone gargoyle... In short, all the charmingly dark stuff. Today I watched the film again years later (because a pure fairy tale rarely hurts) and I'm thrilled. Everything that I liked, I still like. Maleficent is one of the best Disney villains, and I also have to add the somewhat unconventional but imaginatively conceived story about Sleeping Beauty, in which the prince is almost useless and almost everything is done by the three good fairies, and then also the breathtaking visuals... In addition to the successful dubbing, the Czech version also has excellent lyrics by Eduard Krečmar. "I've long known your pleasant face from my dreams..." ()

angielski Sleeping Beauty is a story about the struggle between pure love and pure evil, between kindness and hatred. Even if you are familiar with this classic tale, the film still managed to pleasantly surprise me with the hilariously clumsy trio of fairies trying to dress the cake, or the demonic figure of Maleficent, Mistress of All Evil, who brimmed with chillingly terrifying charisma. The icing on the cake (not the one from the fairies) was the attractive animation and the beautiful song “Once Upon a Dream”, which nicely permeated the entire film. ()

angielski Only in comparison with this classic fairy tale can one see how different and good the movie "Maleficent - Mistress of Evil" is. This is simply a classic fairy tale that doesn't pretend to be anything and can't surprise in any way. Visually, it is nice, but its modern execution is even more beautiful visually. This is simply the standard for Disney studios. ()
