A father says goodbye to his young daughter and leaves. As the wide Dutch landscapes live through their seasons so the girl lives through hers. She becomes a young woman, has a family and in time she becomes old, yet within her there is always a deep longing to her father. (Huesca International Film Festival)

angielski Emotional kitsch is created in animated films thanks to the influence of Walt Disney Studios, and in commercial animated series, of course, but only rarely does such crystalline kitsch arise in original creations. Michaël Dudok de Wit, however, managed to do it and used his sense of sentiment so skillfully among American academics that he even won an Oscar for this tear-jerking short film. Although I liked the minimalist visual aspect and to some extent, I appreciate the musical accompaniment, unfortunately, the screenplay fills me with resistance due to its calculated nature. Overall impression: 40%. ()
