Detectives Divinci and Rodriguez go outside the law to exact vigilante-style justice on neighborhood drug dealers. Usually ending in homicide, the detectives report the killings as "gang related." When one of their victims turns out to be an undercover DEA agent, the investigation engulfs the two men in a complex web of deception as they try to cover up their actions. An enjoyable, though unremarkable film. Actually, not to be unfair - Dennis Quaid's performance is exceptional, as the bearded homeless man found another supporting role to play with his usual grace. It's a perfect show for a weekend afternoon, but one mustn't dwell too much on various situations (for example, why the court wants the witness to identify a man who looks completely different from the last time she saw him).
