Julia, a famous physician, discovers that her sister has been murdered by Frank Coumo, a notorious gangster. The police believe that her death was an accident despite Julia's protests. Now Julia must contact the only witness to the murder - a young imprisoned woman. Julia infiltrates the prison disguised as an inmate in an attempt to find the witness, but instead she becomes the victim of a sadistic warden's sexual brutality and the vicious jailers that do her bidding. Even though "Detenute violente" tries to have some story, you won't find it very enjoyable to watch. Even the erotic scenes are incredibly sterile, and the label of soft porn is quite exaggerated. Not to mention the poorly executed torture, the effect simply doesn't appear, if nothing else. This definitely isn't a style that suits me, and it's not something I would like to see again. However, I am convinced that something similar will come across my radar again someday. At least one can see how wide the horror genre is.
